Dr. Johnathon Neda, Psy.D.

Hello and Welcome! I am Johnathon Neda, clinical director of Orange County Psychology. I am a Clinical Psychologist in Costa Mesa-Newport Beach and an adult generalist (having worked with many forms of psychological suffering and difficulties in living). With that said, I am most skilled in working with complex human experiences that arise in the course of life, such as Depression, Anxiety, and Relationship Difficulties. Other life challenges and areas I work with clinically include Self-Esteem, Personal Growth, Self-Development, Stress, Trauma, Attachment Disturbances, Grief and Loss, and Existential Concerns, such as Self-Estrangement or Issues of Meaning/Purpose in life.

There are many useful ways of having you and me understand you. I offer an integrative approach to psychotherapy, which means I carefully draw from a wide-ranging toolbox—bringing together a variety of effective resources and clinical strategies of intervention. With that said, therapy is a person-to-person process, not a technical regimen. Within the relational encounter, a unique therapeutic approach is tailor-made to each client—responsive to their specific characteristics, needs, preferences, and culture. I provide an appropriate balance of support and challenge in therapy that is informed by over 11 years of mental health experience and is attuned to the degree that you are willing and able to engage in deeper healing or change.
